I have not heard much of anything from anyone ... the guild presence scarce and the forum activity is even thinner.

It's about time to catch up on everything. I disappeared for several reasons- Keith disappeared because I did. Basically when the big bang patch happened, it caused an issue with my Win 7 and his vista. We tried everything to stop constant dcs. We bought a new computer, took an old xp laptop to Geek squad 4 times, bought an unused version of xp, had mediacom out 3 times, bought a new power supply box and a new graphic card for my comp, downloaded possible fixes, tried compatibility mode and spent weeks worth of hours on the phone with tech supports. Total cost was over $3500.00 and with no success. It ruined our maple event rings and also the new job events to say the least.

In Feb., Matt texted me and said maple had been patched and I was able to log in for a couple weeks and actually play. Then another patch happened and Nexon messed up the fix. that was start of march- and right after I had to go back for *another* mri on that shoulder trouble from last fall. My original surgeon gave up- sent me to a specialist. I still couldn't log into maple and stay connected so I stopped trying for some time. Keith's father became ill in May and start of June we went over to Ireland to see the family. Mid-month we came back and then I had to go with mom to her convention. July came, and the 11th I had surgery yet again. That was the day some horrid storms came through, and we went a week without any power. As a result, the following few weeks was rough, painful and not so great. But as soon as I was able, I tried maple again- and for now, no more dcs.

tons of things have happened. i re-downloaded maple for the mechanic update (my mechanic is in his 70s, took me like 6 days to do it) and after getting the resistance ring, deleted maple again. ive been checking the status of my ticket over my account being hacked at least once a week (2 years old now, and its still a "work in progress") only to confirm that nexon has indeed not changed their customer service policy.

i moved back in december, and my new room-mates are awesome, besides the fact that one of them thinks his car was built for racing, which it DEFINATELY wasnt. currently working on fixing both of the households cars (shattered crankshaft in one, destroyed front suspension on the other), remodeling the bathroom and kitchen, and training 2 dogs (both of them over 100 lbs. and stubborn as hell).

i have played 2 games all the way to end-game only to quit them (longest it took to lvl cap on either of them was roughly 3 weeks, without grinding xp like maplestory does) and stuck with the third game i tried. the one i stuck with is based off of dungeons and dragons, and i have 3 characters at max lvl, one 3/4 of the way to max, and another i just started. the one im currently playing is free to play, but you have to buy over half of the content thats currently out (unless you pay a monthly subscription fee, then nearly all content is free, excep for a few classes and races), and more content is being released at a decent pace. rarely ever do i lag, because there is no such thing as hacking (there is a zero tolerance stance on hacking, you get caught, you get perma-banned, no ifs, ands, or buts about it). other than that, the customer service is awesome (never takes more than 30 minutes to get a response on a ticket logged over an in game issue). the biggest issue i have with it is the lack of cosmetic items, so most of the time, you look just like everyone else. if you have questions or want to try this game out, send me a PM and ill get back to you on it.

lets see... oh yeah, about 2 months ago i broke my foot (dropped an 8 foot length of 4x4 fencepost on it). have gotten and subsequently quit 2 jobs (first job the owner tried to screw me on my pay, and second job my boss swung a steel pipe at my head, thankfully i saw it coming and ducked, then got the hell out of there). got a new tattoo, got a new computer (fried the power supply in the one i was using for maple, which sent a power surge into my motherboard and cooked it as well). got engaged, then found out she was cheating on me, and told her get lost...

other than all of that, its been basically life as usual.

Wow quite a lot happening! It sounds like you both are going back to somewhat normalized life so that's good to hear

after 2 long years, nexon finally closed my ticket over my mule account being hacked. sadly, i wont get anywhere near compensated for the amount of stuff i lost, as the highest lvl character on the account is lvl 35, and i lost close to 300m mesos in gear and collectables. heres what the ticket closing statement reads...

take note of the maplepoints and NX they also gave me, which is also pointless, as this is a mule account. this isnt the first time they threw NX at me to keep me quiet either...

i really wish they would figure out that maplepoints and NX dont do anything to actually help a victim get back on their feet, and that the idea of throwing nx at people to shut them up is rediculous.

so what was in the "compensation packages"?

dont know, havent logged in to check it yet, but previously in the ticket, it said that the compensation package is based on character level and job, and since the highest level character on that account is a lvl 35 sin, it wont be jack squat. when i log in and get the package, ill post what i get here so you guys can see how badly nexon is screwing me over yet again.

EDIT: got online right after posting this, and its not giving me the compensation package. ive logged all characters on the account, and not a single one of them has been given the option to collect the compensation package... FAIL
